Nani, Enrique (1910-1993)
Nacido en Buenos Aires el 1 de enero de 1910 y fallecido en la misma ciudad en 1993. Pintor de la escuela de La Boca de formación autodidacta. Ilustró libros como Amor y tiempo de Marta Zimmermann. Concurrió al Salón Nacional en los años 1956 a 1958, en 1964 y en 1969; junto a Oscar Vaz en la Agrupación Impulso en 1970, en la Primera Exposición de Pintura Argentina Contemporánea: tercer ciclo en la Sociedad Central de Arquitectos de Buenos Aires en 1965, Motivos Boquenses en el Ateneo Popular de La Boca, Galería de Arte Cabildo Norte en 1972, 20 artistas evocan a mi Buenos Aires querido en Baupesa en 1975 y en la Exposición colectiva estival, homenaje a los artistas amigos fallecidos durante el año 1993: Enrique Nani, Raúl Price, Otto Travain en la Agrupación Impulso en 1993. Obtuvo el Premio Benito Quinquela Martín en el Salón Nacional en 1976. Plaqueta Benito Quinquela Martín en el Salón del Ateneo Popular de La Boca. Gran Premio de Honor en el Primer Salón del Tango de la Asociación de Amigos de San Telmo y del Fondo Nacional de las Artes en 1978. Expresionista lírico, en sus obras plasmaba sensibles visiones de temas ciudadanos. Prevalece en sus obras, a veces en forma explícita, a veces por una presencia sutil, invisible, el tema del tango a cuya defensa de él, y en momentos en que se advierte el comienzo de una lúcida revalorización, contribuye junto a otros pintores y escritores. Así, va creando atmósferas ahondadas, crepusculares, un clima de lírico encanto en su controlada paleta, sugiriendo un mundillo inconfundible, íntimo, intensamente porteño que llega a fondo con gran sensibilidad. Nani, es uno de los más fieles pintores de La Boca desde hace años, pero no hace su historia, pinta su vida. Hay una dramática secuencia en los pasajes de sus obras. Y es el rojizo de los atardeceres, peleando para no quedar adherido a sus paredes descascaradas la tónica de sus visiones. Eduardo Baliari. Utiliza en su pintura planos compuestos por colores altos y saturados que contrastan con otros bajos y desaturados, pincelada visible y suelta. Formas esbozadas y paleta desaturada. Entre sus temas preferidos figuran los típicos del barrio de La Boca, los antiguos oficios como los carreros, y costumbres argentinas como el mate.
